A farmer has this week told how he was "sickened" following the discovery of the horrific beheading of a lamb on lands in Thurles last week.
The four to five day old lamb was found by its owner, Kevin Fanning in a large pool of blood on lands at Gortataggart on Wednesday of last week.

The "defenceless" animal's head and tail had been cut off in what Mr. Fanning has described as a "sickening" act. He believed that a knife was used to sever the lamb's head and tail.

The "Tipperary Star" has seen photographs of the dead animal and the scene at Gortataggart but have deemed them too graphic and disturbing for publication.

Full story in this week's Tipperary Star.
