Full Steam Ahead On Nenagh Rail Line

OVER 200 people travelled to Nenagh last Sunday as part of a special Railway Preservation Society of Ireland round-Ireland trip. The sight of the steam train and carriages pulling into Nenagh station caught the imagination of local people who turned out to welcome the group to the town for a brief stop before they headed for Cloughjordan and Roscrea.

Special Olympics Ireland Says Thanks

Special Olympics Ireland’s annual collection day, sponsored by eircom, took place on Friday 27th April. 4,000 volunteers took to the streets of villages, towns and cities all over Ireland on the day to collect. Tipperary was no exception with volunteers taking to the streets of Clonmel, Thurles, Cashel, Nenagh, Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary Town and Roscrea.
