KNOCKAVILLA-DONASKEIGH

Daffodil Day -Daffodil Day this year will be on Friday March 26th. When the usual collectors will give their all to make it a success. Fears are abound that due to rain, snow and frost of early spring and winter that the daffodils will be late and scarce- not so, come hail or shine we all have the "Host of golden daffodils, fluttering and dancing in the breeze''' as always. Nothng to chase the winter blues like the apperance of the early daffodils and good luck to those who work so hard on daffodil day.
Confirmation- Confirmation comes early this time- March 12th what a busy month March will be. However everybody looks forward to Confirmation Day in the parish due to the visit of the Bishop.
Youth Club- It is hoped to form a youth club in the parish -an organisation that has been attempted many, many times back through the years. It always fell by the wayside in a short time. Leaders and voulunteers are required to nurse the youth! The thought occurs- would'nt it be be a great opportunity for those excellent, well educated young people unemployed and disgrunted to form their own youth club- They know everything, can do everything so why not? There is much to be done that the youth can identify with- for instance take Daffodil day, why leave it all to a few elders. So come along all you ""young men of twenty'' and girls too of coarse, we'd love to see you coming with Daffodils not to mention getting your youth club up and running. Phone Maria at 085-1078925
