Nenagh Walking Club has a series of walks planned for this year

NENAGH Walking Club has had a huge upsurge in Members taking part in our walks in 2013 – good to see so many people interested in exercise and fitness. Our next walk on Sunday, February 10, will be a hike up Woodcock Hill. This walk will be led by Paddy Seymour, 086-8562444. If you have any queries please contact Paddy. We will depart from Kenyon Street car park at 11am

The Club has a wide range of events planned for the coming months including the following:-

XL Challenge, April 6: Willie Keane is organising an event in support of Living Links. This group assists those affected by suicide. There will be a choice of two walks from the Silvermines. Details to be confirmed.

Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers Spring Challenge, April 12 to 14: For 2013 this outing returns to the Castlerosse Hotel, Killarney. Choice of walks on the Saturday, including Carrauntoohil. Cost €159 pps. More details from Michael Sutton, 086-4009989. 

The Camino Way, April 28 to May 7: Distance to be walked 164km, Walking similar distances each day over the above dates. Email mackeydonal@hotmail.com
Walk The Royal Canal, June 2 to 8: A walk with a difference will take place in June when we walk the Royal Canal, a distance of 150km. Walking similar distances each day. Full details 087-2761442 or email mackeydonal@hotmail.com 
Tuesday Evening Walks: For the winter these walks start from Tesco’s car park at 7.30pm. Please wear high visability clothing and bring a torch. The walks will take approximately 75 mins. Contact Paddy at 086-8562444, or Mary at 087-9735164.
