Tipperary’s budding photographers encouraged to get creative for 2014 Top Oil calendar

Top Oil have launched their annual amateur photography competition, themed: ‘Fueling Creativity’. The 12 most creative and unique images will feature in the 2014 Top Oil calendar.

Top Oil are encouraging Tipperary’s amateur photographers to get involved again this year as the entries from the county in previous year’s have always been impressive. The theme ‘Fueling Creativity’ was chosen as the theme for the 2014 calender as Top Oil would like to “fuel” the creativity of Ireland’s amateur photographers and encourage them to push the boundaries with their entries this year.

12 winning images will be selected for the 2014 calendar, with one of the images announced as the overall winner and landing the coveted cover shot. The overall winner will also walk away with a €1,000 prize voucher. The closing date for entries is May 31st 2013.

New to this year’s competition is the introduction of a People’s Choice selection. Fans of Top Oil’s Facebook page will have the chance to vote for their favourite image, which will be chosen from a selection of shortlisted images. Further details will be available on the Top Oil – Fueling Ireland Facebook page.

Martin Daly, Head of Sales and Marketing at Top Oil, said: “Last year we had over 4,000 entries including many fantastic shots from Tipperary’s amateur photographers and we are certain that this year’s unique theme ‘Fueling Creativity’ will inspire even more would-be photographers to get involved. We are also really excited to get the publicinvolved this year by giving them a chance to select their favourite shots from our Facebook page. Top Oil are proud to support Irish photographers - year on year we are overwhelmed by the creativity and dynamic shots we receive and we can’t wait to see the entries this year.”
