The first ever Thurles Zombie Walk went off without a hitch on Saturday, October 27th. Around 120 people turned up at Lar Corbett’s bar for music and make-up application before, being set loose on the streets. When asked about about his costume, one of the zombies replied “Brains”, and staggered off.
A well-spoken zombie in a bathrobe named James Purcell very much enjoyed rising from the dead.
“It was a great night, I had a really good time and cant wait for it to happen again next year. It was one of the best Nights out that anyone people from Thurles could’ve hoped for in the town, and people who missed out on it missed an event that you would never forget”.
Earlier that night, he got his foot ran over by a slow-moving car, but was luckily wearing sturdy shoes and already dead.
