Roscrea Musical Society - Down Memory Lane

Roscrea Musical Society are for the first time ever putting together a new book based on the past lives of Society members, and are so lucky to have the renowned historian and author Mr George Cunningham come on board for this great adventure.

George has a mountain of information, photographs and other memorabilia going back all the years to the foundation of Roscrea Musical Society or back when it was called Roscrea Operatic Society.

We are looking for more information - photos, paper clippings, programs, leaflets - especially photos from the 1940’s and the 1950’s- anyone who may have been in any of the shows over the years or indeed anyone who knows people who were involved, friends, neighbors. We would be most grateful if you would loan us this memorabilia. We will look after them and make sure of their safe return to you. Once the publisher has made copies.

We are hoping to launch this great book during our production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers which will be staged in april 2013 - so we have to get cracking, time is of the essence, so if you have any paraphernalia that might be of interest. Please contact any committee member of Roscrea Musical society or you can e - mail us information, photos etc, to: roscreamusicalsocietybook@gmail.Com. We will be only too happy to get back to you, or collect whatever information, material you may have from you.
