Marie’s Nenagh Exhibition
One of Marie O'Sullivan's works that will go on display in Nenagh library from this Friday
ARTIST Marie O’Sullivan will hold her first Nenagh exhibition in Nenagh library from this Friday, March 1. Marie, who set up the Art & Healing Centre in Ballinaclough in October 2006 is also a complementary healer.
She has been sketching and painting since she was a child, and taught painting in her studio (The Redwood Studio) in Dublin for 21 years before moving to Tipperary. Marie studied Art Education in NCAD 1979-1984.
Whie she has exhibited her work on St Stephen’s Green, Dublin, Ranelagh Gallery and various other venues over the years, the reason she has waited so long for her first local show is because of a three-year waiting list to display at Nenagh library.
The exhibition will include work by herself and her students and will feature mixed media. The exhibition can be viewed from this Friday. It runs until the end of March and will be officially opened by Cllr Virginia O’Dowd on Thursday, March 7, at 6.30pm.
