High Society Screening At Nenagh Arts Centre

Take a break from the Christmas rush with the special afternoon screening of the movie ‘High Society’ featuring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly will screen at Nenagh Arts Centre in the old Town Hall, at 3 p.m. on Saturday 22nd December.

Grace Kelly plays Tracy Lord, a holier-than-thou ice goddess who, having been through one marriage to likeable musician C.K. Dexter Haven (Crosby), is about to enter another with a rather stuffy, boring social climber. Dexter and Mike Connor (Sinatra), a reporter covering the nuptials, help Tracy find her human side and realize whom she really should marry. High Society from 1956 is a musical remake of ‘The Philadelphia Story’ and features classic songs by Cole Porter and a great appearance by Louis Armstrong and his band.

The event is presented by Nenagh Silent Film Festival and Nenagh Arts Centre. Tickets at €7 will be available at the Arts Centre on the door. Phone 067 34400 for any group queries. Wheelchair access is available.
