Grace Kelly Stars Alongside Sinatra In High Society

Bing, Frank and Grace feature on the big screen at the Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday, December 22nd (3pm).

Nenagh music and film lovers will get a chance to take a well-deserved break from the Christmas rush with a special afternoon screening of the movie High Society featuring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly which will screen at Nenagh Arts Centre in the old Town Hall at 3pm this Saturday.

Grace Kelly plays Tracy Lord, a holier-than-thou ice goddess who, having been through one marriage to likeable musician CK Dexter Haven (Crosby), is about to enter another with a rather stuffy, boring social climber. Dexter and Mike Connor (Sinatra), a reporter covering the nuptials, help Tracy find her human side and realize whom she really should marry.

High Society, from 1956, is a musical remake of The Philadelphia Story and features classic songs by Cole Porter and a great cameo appearance by Louis Armstrong and his band.

The event is presented by Nenagh Silent Film Festival and the Nenagh Arts Centre. The film is presented on the big screen with cinema sound. Tickets are priced at E7 and will be available on the door.

Phone 067 34400 for any group queries. Wheelchair access is available.
