Dance Yourself Fit In The New Year

Getting your body fit and healthy does not have to be the chore it’s often perceived to be. Instead, as people all around the country are finding out each day, dancing is one of the best fitness workouts there is. If you’re struggling to find fitness motivation pacing on a treadmill to nowhere help could be close at hand.

The Source Arts Centre’s Dance Artist in Residence Cathy O’Kennedy has vast experience of working with community groups of all ages and abilities.

After a hugely successful dance project that launched last September, and culminated in a spectacular dance performance on Culture Night, Cathy is back to share, create and teach participants of all ages and abilities about dance making and choreography.

This is a unique and fun way to socialise, express yourself and keep fit through dance.

No experience necessary, but early booking is essential as places are limited. All classes run for six weeks starting in the second week in January (excluding mid-term). See details below:- The Source Youth Dance Training & Performance Project in the Sr Ursula Memorial Hall, Ursuline Secondary School from Tuesday, January 15th (4-5.30pm) E30, Adult Contemporary Dance at The Source Arts Centre from Wednesday, January 16th (7-8pm) E30, Dancing Together (a dance experience for parents and children under three years) at the Thurles Leisure Centre from Thursday, January 17th (10.30-11.30am) E24 parent & child, the Children’s Dance Workshop in the Holycross Community Centre from Thursday, January 17th (3.15-4.15pm) E24.
