Conal Gallen All Set For The Nenagh Arts Centre

Recently featured on TG4’s eleven-week Lough Out Loud show Ireland’s number one comedian Conal Gallen has put together what promises to be one of the funniest shows you are ever likely to see and he’s heading to Nenagh with it.

Conal has had a large number of dvds and cds realeased and he is best known for his comedic songs including ‘Anna From Buncrana’ and ‘Horse It Into Ya, Cynthia’. By October 2012, ‘Horse It Into Ya, Cynthia’ had over 114,000 views on YouTube! After his sell-out Irish Tour this spring the comic finally makes a welcome trip to Nenagh. His show is littered with hilarious jokes, stories and songs all with a healthy dose of innuendo thrown into the mix for added laughs.

The Mars Curiosity Rover is the focus for Bernal Lecture at Science Week events in the Nenagh Arts Centre.

Professor Paul Callanan from University College Cork gives the Bernal Lecture at Nenagh Arts Centre for Science week at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 15th.

The focus of the lecture will be the recent extraordinary voyage of the Mars Curiosity Rover as it landed on that planet, deployed a number of scientific experiments and began to photograph the vista from its base in Gale Crater.

The Bernal Lecture is presented in memory of Nenagh-born scientist John Desmond Bernal.

Dr. Paul Callanan is a lecturer in Physics from UCC and will present the Bernal Lecture at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 15th. Entrance to the lecture is free to the public with second level science students and teachers especially welcome.
