A New Season At The Source

The Source Arts Centre is delighted with all the positive feedback about the range of top quality acts that have graced the stage over the last few months, so roll on the New Year because there is plenty more where that came from!

We have some old favourites and plenty new to suit all tastes and pockets.

As well as great entertainment, the hugely-successful Community Dance Classes are back in January. All ages are catered for and no experience is necessary.

Limerick Printmakers are back and will move into The Source Gallery on March 1st with their 24-hour pop up print studio.

They will work with local invited artists and students to create brand new work on site which will go on to form a month long exhibition. Anyone is welcome to drop in.

Entertainment highlights of the season include: Brendan Shine pays a welcome return and a show packed with all his hits.

Downton Abbey actress and singer songwriter Maria Doyle Kennedy debuts at The Source and will share songs from her stunning new album, Sing.

Joyced! comes to Thurles following Edinburgh Fringe Festival success.

For all you film buffs out there we have a marathon screening in an Alfred Hitchcock Day - see Vertigo, Rear Window and Psycho all in one day!

Southern Folk Tenant Union are an eclectic, atmospheric folk band from Scotland and their star is rising fast, catch them while you can.

Ireland’s Got Mammies: Colm O’Regan’s new comedy show based on Twitter sensation @irishmammies 52,000 followers and counting.

Opera is always a favourite so the leading lights of Irish opera will light up our lives with their show Opera d’Arte.

Giant Screen Gaming in the heart of Thurles? Who’d have thought; keep and eye out for the Games Fleadh.

Director’s recommendation this season is Pinnochio - cutting edge theatre for teens performed in both English and Irish.

Wonderland Drama Workshop an excellent opportunity for your seven to 12-year-olds at Easter to experience drama, dance lighting and stage design.

There is plenty in store and these are just some of the highlights. Your arts centre, your space, your Source of entertainment.

The Source Arts Centre Box Office will be closed for Christmas from 5pm on Saturday, December 22nd, open from 5.30pm to 8pm Saturday, December 29th and re-open for business Wednesday, January 2nd.
