The Clash Without The Ash - White Collar Boxing...

Last Friday night patrons attending the White Collar Boxing Show at Templemore Arms Hotel began to queue at 7pm and by starting time all had gained entry to the venue which was promised to be a ‘Theatre of Dreams’, and it sure lived up to that billing.

From the entrance point to the very last person leaving this highly entertaining show was an extremely well organised event. Great credit for this must go to all involved from JK Brackens and Loughmore/Castleiney clubs.

All the boxers and their corner people pulled out all the strings to make this a never-to-be-forgotten once in a lifetime, awesome boxing show. Those who came from near and far were most appreciative of the efforts of all involved and this was evident by the encouragement all the boxers got during the fights and immediately afterwards at the final bell. The judges’ decisions were
magnanimously accepted. Some were majority decisions, some split decisions, some unanimous decisions, and one unusual decision, with a dance-off by both boxers which ended in a draw.

The organisers wish to thank everybody who in any way contributed to making the night the success that it was.
