Garrykennedy Mobile Phone Appeal - The Garrykennedy community are attempting to raise money to provide a defibrillator for public use within the village. When required, the unit will be located in a prominent location within the village, and will be available 24 hours a day for use on any person who may require life-saving help.
A number of local volunteers will be trained up in its use and a list of contact numbers for them will be displayed around the unit.
The cost providing such a unit is quite high so as well as organising fundraising and accepting donations, an appeal for your unused mobile phones is also being undertaken.
During the month of October, you can drop any old, broken or unused mobile phones to collection points in SPAR Portroe, “Ciss Ryans” and “Larkins” in Garrykennedy and “News Fayre” in Nenagh. Alternatively, the following people may be contacted with any phones/donations etc. which you may wish to contribute:
