The Templemore Local Heroes had a very constructive meeting last Thursday in the Templemore Arms. Whilst turnout wasn’t huge, the people who turned up were more than positive with their time and efforts. After listening to everybody’s suggestions from the previous meetings, it was decided to put all the ideas into 5 different sections – Town Marketing, Tidy Towns, Town Website, Industry & Innovation and Town Park & Woodlands. Everybody at the meeting was asked to nominate an area where they would like to help out in, and with that, we now have the core working groups to drive all these initiatives on. These groups will work with all the suggestions given by the people of Templemore, to improve the town.

Cashel People return from Representation to European Charter in Netherlands and Hungary

Recent representation to the Charter of European Rural Communities has seen delegates from Cashel travel to the Netherlands and Hungary. Ireland’s participation of the Charter of European Rural Communities is run through the tutelage of Cashel Town Council. Ms. Lisa Anglim and Mr. Alexander Fallon celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Esch, which represents the Netherlands to the European Charter. The Youth Meeting they attended saw two youth delegates (18 to 27 years of age) from each of the 27 EU countries attend from 16th to 18th March.
