Recent Deaths - Mary Coffey, Gortagarry; Betty Walsh, Thurles; Margaret Minnett, England and formerly of Thurles and Littleton; Patrick Fox, Portlaoise; Vincent Costello (Jnr.), Derrynaflan Avenue, Littleton; Marion Kelly, (nee McGuire), Kylenahone, Killenaule and formerly of Liskeveen.

Month’s Mind Mass - The Month’s Mind Mass for Phillie Cass, Rahinch, Littleton will take place on this Saturday, 26th January at 7.30 p.m. in St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton.

Collection - Hope Foundation will hold a church gate collection for two local girls, Laura Jane Stapleton and Rachel Byrne who are travelling to Calcutta, the collection will be at the three churches this Saturday and Sunday, 26th and 27th January.

A.G.M. - The A.G.M. of Moycarkey Coolcroo Athletic Club will take place on Wednesday next, 30th January at 7.30 p.m. in the Community Hall, Two-Mile-Borris.

The Late Mary Coffey - The death has taken place on January 12th at the Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles of Mary Coffey, (nee Kennedy), Ballinlough, Toomevara. Predeceased by her husband Jim, mother of Mary Power, Piercetown and formerly of Cloncleigh. Her remains were removed from Ryan’s Funeral Parlour, Nenagh on Sunday last to the church in Gortagarry. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the local cemetery. Deeply mourned by her family, Frank, John, Joe, Mary (Power), Willie, Bridget (Troy), and Patricia, sister Bridget, brother Billy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
