Mullinahone

Popular Percy Passes Away Suddenly - Over forty years ago in 1970 a young couple, Percy and Peggy Vaughan and their two boys came to live in Mullinahone from across the Kilkenny border.

Percy and Peggy always remained loyal to kilkenny though they soon became a popular part of the Mullinahone community. In the earlier days Percy was a lorry driver but he soon became his own boss driving his own lorry. He was an agent for AIBP and for BNF Meats collecting cattle and bringing them to factory and to mart. He became a well known and very popular local haulier. It was while on an early morning mission last month that Percy was suddenly called to God from the wheel of his truck. Happily there was no accident only the devastation of a sudden death.
