Gambian Schools Appeal

Teckie Brett is hoping to go to The Gambia, Western Africa as a volunteer on January 9th next for 6 weeks mentoring student teachers and giving a hand to the class teachers. All 25 volunteers travelling including herself pay for their flights, accommodation, meals etc., themselves.

“I have decided to make an appeal requesting any donation that people can give at this time to enable me to purchase as much school equipment, teaching aids etc., that I can, during my stay. As you can imagine, it is more cost effective to purchase the goods in Gambia, rather than paying for shipping.

“If you would like to be associated with this project by making a contribution, I promise you, that every single cent will be used to purchase whatever is needed the most, in the schools I will visit. All donations can be given/posted to me personally or placed in a sealed envelope and left in to Brett’s Hardware Store, Mullinahone, before January Ist next.
