Hurling - Local players Seamus Hennessy and Brian O’Meara played with the Tipperary senior hurlers who played Dublin in a challenge game in Nenagh last Sunday. Congratulations to Kilruane MacDonaghs hurler Jack Peters who won the hurling award in the 15th annual Roscrea Sports Awards.

Drama - The Cloughjordan Drama Group held their last performance of this years production “The Maiden Aunt” in the parish hall on last Sunday night before another full house. Well done to all the cast, backstage crew and committee on a great production. One of the cast members, Bawnie Hayes has played a part in every production for the past 40 years. His contribution to drama has recently been recognised by the Tipperary Arts Group and will receive an award from this body next month. Congratulations to Bawnie on his contribution to the local drama group for the last 40 years.

Sale of Work - The Kilruane MacDonaghs Sale of Work takes place in the G.A.A. complex in Cloughjordan on this Sunday, 27th January at 2pm. There will be a large quantity of split timber, farm produce, second hand furniture, second hand books and home baking for sale. There will also be a variety of stalls, Wheel of Fortune, pony rides and numerous novelty events for old and young. If you want a bargain don’t miss this Sale of Work.
