North Champions - Congratulations to Kilruane MacDonaghs U/21 hurlers who beat Toomevara in the North Final last Sunday played in Newport. In a well contested game MacDonaghs came out on top on a 14 points to 12 points scoreline. Kilruane MacDonaghs have now won 11 North titles in the U/21 grade. In the county semi-final to be played next Sunday their opponents will be Thurles.

Dragon’s Den - Local student Sean Harty and his classmate Killian Carr, both students of Borrisokane Community College qualified for the recent National final or RTE’s Junior Dragon’s Den. To qualify for the National final the boys won the Regional final in Limerick last November. Their project was a presentation on a solar powered cooling, freezing and heating system.

Thanks - Teresa Williams would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed so generously to her recent fundraiser for the local St. Vincent De Paul Society. The amount raised was €1,217.86 and it will be used to provide basic needs such as food and fuel. St. Vincent De Paul offers hope as well as help.
