Mill Road Riding Club recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary in style with a Black-Tie Ball at the Anner Hotel, Thurles. This special occasion was attended by 157 present and past members and friends.

Our function commenced with a Champagne Reception and music provided by the talented Ann-Marie and Mary-Rose Dwan. Full marks to the Anner Hotel for a beautiful Four – Course Meal during which the talented Phoenix ‘Vocalize’singers provided entertainment. A special thanks to Katryn and Michael and all the Staff at the Anner Hotel for all their help.

The dance floor was full for the night thanks to the excellent Silver Dollar Band followed by a Disco into the early hours of the morning.

No function is successful without hard work so many thanks to our organising committee Gerlyn Doyle, Fiona Hyland-Ryan, Mary Doyle, Maeve McKevitt-Wall, Raynal Cunningham and Deirdre Bourke-Collins. Also many thanks to all our members for making such a huge effort selling tickets.

Our longest member and the back bone of the Club over the last twenty years Tomas Ryan of Mill Road was honoured on the night with special presentation from current Chairperson Deirdre Collins thanking him for his encouragement and patience to all over the years.

A huge thanks to all who attended on the night and we look forward already to celebrating our 25th Anniversary in 2017 so mark your diaries!
