Christmas Comes Early For Roscrea Chamber

Roscrea Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Jo Jo Cunningham and all those who helped out with a recent church gate collection to help with the costs associated with the Christmas lights.

Every year the lights come at an enormous cost to the Chamber and have a serious impact on the Chamber’s funds for the remainder of the year. In light of this Jo Jo Cunningham, members of Roscrea Tidy Towns and supporters of the Christmas lights in Roscrea came together recently to help raise money that could be used to help make sure that we have Christmas lights this year in Roscrea.

A second round of fundraising will take place on Saturday the 3rd of November. Jo Jo the project leader for this campaign has organised for collections to take place that day in Super Valu, Tescos, Dunnes, and Roscrea Credit Union. Collections will also take place on Main Street and on Castle Street. Jo Jo is looking for some extra volunteers to help on the day. If you are free for however long or short a time you can contact Jo Jo on 0879127147.

Roscrea Chamber Of Commerce acknowledges the tremendous support of Jo Jo and all those that have volunteered their time this year to help with the Christmas lights.
