Borroway Lights Up-Grade Welcomed

Thurles Councillor Jim Ryan has this week welcomed the news that Thurles Town Council will be upgrading the public street lights in Borroway later this year.

In a statement to this weeks Tipperary Star, Councillor Ryan states that he had received numerous complaints from residents of Borroway who were concerned at the poor lighting in their area.

“I raised this issue with the council on numerous occasions during the last 2 years and I am delighted that the council have agreed to carry out this badly needed work. After representations from me over this issue, money has been put aside in the councils 2013 budget for this job which will come as great news to the residents.,” Cllr Ryan said.
