November Novena -

The annual Novena for the Faithful Departed is taking place in the parish at the moment. Mass of the Angels will be offered in St Canice’s Church on Tuesday night, November 6 especially for all young people and babies who have died in the parish and surrounding parishes. On Wednesday, November 7 there will be a Reconciliation Mass with Confessions. On Monday night, November 12 there will be a Novena Mass in Killasmeestia and on Tuesday night, November 13 there will be a Novena Mass in Knockaroo. There will be no morning Mass in Borris-in-Ossory during the Novena except on Saturday morning at 10am.

Voting - Voting in the Children’s Referendum will take place in St. Canice’s Hall, Borris-in-Ossory and Killasmeestia Community Centre on this Saturday, November 10. The polling stations will be open from 9am until 10pm.

Country Markets - Please note that there will be no Country Market in Borris-in-Ossory on Saturday, November 10 as voting in the Children’s Referendum will be held in St Canice’s Hall on that day. The Country Market will resume on the following Saturday, November 17 and each Saturday thereafter.

Sympathy - Sympathy is extended to Mr. Kevin Horgan, Principal of St. Joseph’s N. S., Borris-in-Ossory on the death of his father, the late Mr. Timmie Horgan, Carriganarra, Ballincollig, Cork and late of Coolavokig, Lr. Macroom. His death took place on Sunday, October 21 and his remains were removed to the Church of St. Mary and St. John, Ballincollig on Monday evening. Following Requiem Mass on Tuesday, October 22, burial took place in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Macroom.
